This is an excellent read, but a heart wrenching one. The most impactul take away is that a person that has been abused can transition from victim to victor. You will learn how to get your voice back and reignite that light that whittled out as a result of abuse. Love is the key, and when you love like God wants you to love, then you can FORGIVE.

TheGenX— Reader

This book will make you have an understanding of how people of power and authority so easily use manipulation on the most vulnerable. For anyone who has gone through this, reading this book will show you how there is a way out...Hope. For anyone who has not been through this, reading this book will help you gain more compassion. I couldn't put it down.

Joyce Moore has the bravery to speak the unspoken; to tell her story in such a bold way that shows that she refuses to stay silent. Her story is the story of so many women and men who feel the shame of those who have forced themselves upon innocent children. She has the audacity to speak the truth, no longer afraid of protecting those who have lived for so long under the veil of the protection of silence. I am so grateful that she has told her story, and others will know that they are not alone.

Joyce thank you for sharing your testimony. There's so many people who needed to know what you had experienced and how God had brought you through so many hurtful and painful situations. Through your hurt and pain it caused you to go down roads you never dreamed you would go down. God knew the agony, embarrassment and pain you was experiencing and He had mercy on you. In return of His forgiveness and love to you, helped you have forgiveness and love towards all who had abused and took advantage of you. Your testimony and honesty will help so many people to be free and delivered. I really liked how in each chapter a flower representation was given. I never knew that flowers had such a significant meaning until I read the book. Keep moving forward in the calling God has for you and the best is yet to come. Love you Sis.

I just want to say that this book was written so well. It really hits home for so many people who have experienced similar situations in life. I'm so glad you didn't allow your circumstances to define who you became. I'll be honest — I wasn't able to finish the entire book because some parts were so heavy and emotional for me. More than anything, I thank God for keeping you, carrying you through those difficult times, and blessing you the way He has. Your story is a powerful testament to God's grace and faithfulness.

The Flower Girl is a powerful and heartfelt read that left me deeply moved. Joyce J. Moore bravely opens up about her own experiences of childhood trauma. Her vulnerability shines through every page, making her story both raw and inspiring. This book is written in an approachable and easy-to-read style, which allows the profound themes to resonate even more. Joyce not only shares her pain but also her resilience, offering a sense of hope and solidarity to those who may have faced similar experiences. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has navigated difficult family dynamics or is seeking understanding and healing. It's a testament to the strength of the human spirit and a reminder that sharing our truths can help others feel less alone.

This book is an easy yet deeply impactful read that encourages honest self-reflection and helps uncover hidden pain and unresolved trauma. When paired with the accompanying workbook, it becomes a powerful guide on the journey toward healing, self-restoration, and complete freedom from the wounds of the past. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking emotional and spiritual wholeness.

Remember that the mental health options we have now were not available in this time frame. There are only a few women who could tell their story so eloquently, honestly and truthfully and show such vulnerability. When I sat down to read, I should have put tissues on the table. And when I finished, I reflected on my own life's journey and challenges, knowing we all have obstacles to overcome. I caution readers to tell their friends about the novel because they will want to discuss it for hours on end.   (At least that’s what happened with my friend Nancy and me)

This book is about a young woman's journey through unthinkable situations — advancements and betrayal of trust. Her story is told from her own perspective, her truths, and this read will be an encouragement to those who have been in similar situations. “Your Flower Shines Bright”💕

The Flower Girl Hidden is a powerful and deeply moving book that addresses the painful reality of sexual abuse while also highlighting the strength it takes to heal and overcome. It is an intense read, but an important one. This book offers a message of courage, resilience, and hope for survivors and for anyone seeking to better understand the lasting impact of abuse. A meaningful and thought-provoking read.

I literally read this book in one sitting! What a powerful and transparent story of a true flower girl. Joyce Jean Moore writes with remarkable transparency, courage, and authenticity. Her willingness to uncover the hidden secrets that often exist behind closed doors is both moving and eye-opening. Rather than simply telling a story, she invites readers to confront difficult truths that many silently carry for years.

Ferne C. Sapp— Reader

This is a must read book. It shows that you can make it through anything with God. It shows that with forgiveness comes healing. And how God can restore what was taken and answer prayers you had given up on.

Ruby— Reader

The author does an excellent job retelling her experience from victim to survivor. She covers the themes of silence, secrecy, identity, shame, and recovery with clarity. This book is insightful for anyone, and especially for those needing to understand how the dynamics of power and control operate in abusive situations. My favorite part is how she courageously confronts the abusers; I laughed and cried.

A story that met me right where I am. Reading The Flower Girl: Hidden didn't feel like just reading a book — it felt like someone finally putting words to pieces of my own life. Joyce J. Moore writes with a tenderness that reaches deep places, and there were moments where I had to pause because it felt like she was telling parts of my story too. The way she describes pain, silence, and survival is so real. And the way she shows healing — slow, gentle, and honest — reminded me that I'm still growing, still rising, still becoming. This book didn't just touch me; it held me.

Kamilah Terry— Reader

This masterpiece is life changing. To see someone go through life's toss and turns and come out resilient and inspiring, makes me to know that the world needs to know you and bring you forth to be an example so many need to see. May God put you in the midst of great people who can open doors up for you to walk through to the wonderful life you so much deserve!

Sharon Dodson— Reader

If you or someone you know have been sexually abused this book is a must read. It tells the story of overcoming betrayal and sexual abuse by the people who were meant to protect you. This book reaches the hidden places. It revealed her trauma but it also shows her resilience to trust God to bring her out whole and healed.

Thalia— Reader

It was bravery for one, for her to share her experience to help other people, because a lot of people have never shared that experience in their life. People have went to their grave and didn't tell nobody. Nobody knew but Joyce freed herself and now letting people know what God has done for her. I'm very proud of her; she is a warrior.

Reflection & Healing

The workbook changed my life. I had been in therapy for years but something about working through these pages, in my own handwriting, broke something open in me. I am not the same woman I was before.

Renée— Workbook Reader

I did not expect a workbook to make me cry. But these questions go so deep — they asked me things I had never allowed myself to ask. I am so grateful for this resource.

I use this in my women's group at church. Every single woman has said it changed something in them. Joyce has created something truly special here.

The reflection questions are so thoughtful. They do not let you stay on the surface. I worked through this over two weeks and I feel like I have been set free from things I carried for decades.

Carolyn— Workbook Reader

I bought the novel first, then the workbook. Together they are a complete healing experience. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who has experienced trauma or unforgiveness.

Tiffany— Reader & Workbook Reader

This workbook is gentle but powerful. It meets you where you are and walks you forward. I have done many Bible studies and devotionals — this is different. This one actually heals.
